Professional Certifications

The GLGPA offers two professional certification programs designed to enhance the knowledge, skills and abilities of those responsible for the management and administration of personnel systems in local government in Georgia. Once those professional certifications are complete, members continue to earn CEUs by attending our continuing education program offered at each of our conferences. The educational conferences provide pertinent and up-to-date information to keep local government HR professionals on top of their game.

The Certified Human Resource Manager (CHRM) and the Advanced Certification in Human Resource Management (ACHRM) programs are designed and sponsored by Georgia Local Government Personnel Association (GLGPA) and administered by the University of Georgia's Carl Vinson Institute of Government.

Refer to the most up-to-date GLGPA Certification Handbook here for more information.
